The foals are all imprinted at birth and handled extensively for their first year. Their foal training requires them to be able to halter, lead properly, load without hesitation and accept all aspects of clipping and grooming as well as hoof care. Some foals are taken to the sportpony inspection, where they are evaluated as future breeding or show stock into the sportpony registry.

Canter Ridge Curtsy
(Evans Malik x Linderman's Mai Tai)
Curtsy is our third filly from Malik, and she has the bold athleticism shown in this sire's babies. She hit the ground running, so to speak! Curtsy is a very light chestnut, maybe turning palomino, out of our strawberry roan Welsh mare. This filly will most likely be retained with the rest of the Malik fillies for future hunter ponies and/or broodmare stock.

Canter Ridge Dividend
(Evans Providence of the Night x Evan's Infinite Sadness)
Dividend is our shining star at Canter Ridge! Future stallion prospect, Divie is a spitting image of his Multi-Supreme Champion sire, down to the matching socks and wide blaze. And is he ever an athletic little guy too! These pictures are at 2 days old. We have high hopes for this colt in the show ring following in his sire's footsteps. Believe it or not, a former client already booked her mare for him for 2009. To see his sire's extensive show record, go to www.evans-welshponies.com.

Canter Ridge Airtime
(Evans Malik x Kade's Princess)
This 2007 bay colt is loaded with attitude and presence! He is so funny and good-natured, loves to keep mom guessing. He has the wonderful face and kind eye of his sire, and some flashy white socks to strut his stuff. Airtime has the breeding, temperment and looks to be a future herd sire here at Canter Ridge.

Canter Ridge Reflection
(Evans Malik x Roda Gold Rose)
This adorable section B filly is a little "mini -me" of her dam. If she has her personality too, we will be blessed with a perfect foal! Lilly is already imprinted and loves attention from the children who come to visit. She has a lot of energy and loves to keep mom running. Lilly is a big foal, but will mature a small to medium as her dam is under 13hh. We are so pleased with this little angel baby!

CR Top Flight
(Heartbreaker x Mister Hot Stuff)
This quarter pony colt will make a nice hunter pony for the large divisions. He will mature probably 14hh. Flier, as we call him, is a light bay with a stocking turning white. He has the breeding to do western or english. He is proving to be an athletic little guy as well, keeping mom on her toes.

Canter Ridge Debutante
(Northern Cross Rapture x Evans Malik)
This dark filly is the first out of our stallion, Evans Malik and also the first foal from this nice imported mare. We couldn't be happier with little Deb! She is absolutely gorgeous and stamped with Welsh type. This filly was imprinted at birth, and loves to play with the little children who come to visit--which will make her an extra special kid's mount someday. Her sire is proving to be an excellent hunter/jumper under saddle competing at the A level in the baby greens as a three year old. We have high hope for this little gal as well, and plan to retain her at Canter Ridge.

Canter Ridge Sangria
Canter Ridge Sangria
(Cloud Nine Mite x Gallod Time To Go)
Sangria is a lovely buckskin filly who was born with those great big legs and a huge stride. She already floats around the paddock! Her sire is a Sect. D Welsh Cob who has the ability to excel at both western and english under saddle. We are hoping that Sangria will also make a nice 14 hand riding pony when she grows up. She has an exotic look about her with one blue eye and one brown one. She has a sweet but shy personality like her dam, but eager to come up to people she knows. We are retaining Sangria for future broodstock.

Canter Ridge Sportsman
(Mister Hot Stuff x Evan's Infinite Sadness)
Here comes Canter Ridge Sportsman, galloping into the world on the first sunny day of the season. He is a huge colt, with big bone and strong legs. Sportsman is out of our 1st premium double registered Welsh and American Sportpony mare, "Infinite". This is her second colt, and he is perfection! This colt was imprinted at birth, and is so friendly and confidant around people, that we are sure he will make a great future riding pony. He will be double registered half-Welsh and American Sportpony, and will mature between 13 and 14 hands.
